Fitness Factory Terms and Conditions

  1. This agreement commences once you have completed the membership forms.
  2. Your membership starts immediately.
  3. You will be entitled to all the rights and privileges exercisable for the type of membership chosen.
  4. Membership only applies to the gym.
  5. You must be 16 years or over to join a Fitness Factory gym.
  6. If you are 15 years of age you must get a parent or guardian to sign you up, and have a full induction,
  7. Members are expected to act respectably at all times while using our facilities. Aggressive or unruly behaviour towards staff or other gym members will not be tolerated and will result in termination of your membership.
  8. All weights and equipment must be returned and the Fitness Factory to be kept tidy when you are finished,
  9. Transfer of a membership is available upon request and an appropriate fee will apply. In which a fee of €50 is requested.
  10. Direct Debit memberships are not transferable person to person

Membership Fees

  1. UPFRONT MEMBERSHIPS must be paid on signing up and in full.
  2. All upfront membership fees are collected by us on the date of application.
  3. Membership runs from the date of joining until the last day of the final month in the term of your membership as displayed in the joining process. Or if you’re a DD member your last day of entry is the 15th of the month,
  4. Approximately one month prior to the end of your current membership, you will be sent a text detailing your membership expiry date and the cost of renewing your membership.
  5. If a membership is not renewed before its specific renewal date, then it is deemed to have lapsed and you will not be allowed access to the gym’s facilities without payment. You may also be required to pay a security deposit again.
  6. Membership may be renewed on payment of the prevailing fee and in accordance with the terms and conditions then in force.
  7. To receive the prevailing renewal rate, a member must renew their membership fee before the last day of their membership.
  8. All members joining on multiple person memberships will be treated as a single membership upon renewal.
  9. All memberships start and end under the agreed terms and conditions set out at the time of joining. No time will be transferred from older memberships to new membership.
  10. To avail of the lowest rate advertised, membership may be based on two or more people joining. Membership rates may vary. Memberships purchased as part of a deal for 2 or more persons cannot transfer to other members.
  11. Membership promotions may vary from time to time.
  12. DIRECT DEBITS: All new Direct Debit memberships are processed by the Fitness Factory and are submitted to the bank on the 1st of every month. any cancelation have to be submitted to the Fitness Factory before the first of the month.
  13. The security deposit and the first month’s membership fee is collected over the counter at the Fitness Factory on your membership application date upon joining . Your second monthly membership fee will be collected on the 15th of the month after you have joined and will be collected on the 15th of every month until it is cancelled by signing the cancellation form (or the closest working day each month of your membership).. Please take note of the dates shown for your records.
  14. Direct Debit payments will continue on a monthly basis until you notify Fitness Factory if you wish to cease your membership. Cancellation requests must be submitted to the Fitness Factory before the first of the month prior to the Direct Debit collection date and you must also inform your bank.as no refunds are given if these steps are not taken.
  15. After 2 non-payments of a direct debit will result in your membership being automatically cancelled. The security deposits, fee and the joining fee may need to be payed if you wish to re-join. Security deposits may only be refunded when memberships are cancelled 1 years after the date of first joining.
  16. You agree to advise us immediately of any changes to Member’s Details provided.
  17. From time to time we may need to increase the price of the monthly membership fee. We will give you at least 1 full months’ notice of any incoming price increase and will make it very clear when the price increase will take effect and how much your membership fee will cost after the increase. During this period you will have your usual right to terminate your membership, in accordance with the membership terms and conditions and rules. If you do not terminate the membership by the date given to you in the notice then the price of your membership will be increased in accordance with our notice.

General Terms

  1. As a member you agree to comply with the rules of the gym, which are prominently displayed, with regards to use of the facilities, opening hours, fire evacuation plan and your conduct. From time to time, the Gym may make reasonable changes to these rules, provided the Gym gives advance notice of these changes.
  2. We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect on notifying you if you are in breach of the Gym Rules.
  3. On acceptance of an application for membership, the member will be issued with a membership card, which must be produced on each visit to the gym to gain admission. The card will remain the property of the gym and, upon termination of membership, will be returned to the gym.
  4. An appropriate fee is charged for the replacement of lost membership cards. A fee of 2 euro is charged.
  5. A valid photo ID must be produced before a membership card will be printed. i.e. passport/driving license.
  6. For security and validation reasons, management reserves the right to scan each member’s card at the reception in the gym. This will entail a member’s photo being made visible or projected on the screens at reception.
  7. All members must sign a Health Commitment Statement before they use the gym facilities.
  8. If you require assistance in using any equipment, please ask a member of our Fitness Factory Team.
  9. Management reserves the right to alter, amend or change the Terms & Conditions and Gym Rules from time to time.
  10. Members wishing to report problems with services at the gym should contact the Duty Manager (enquire at reception).
  11. The Gym may withdraw use of all or part of the gym for the purpose of undertaking maintenance work or any other work considered necessary for a maximum period of seven working days.
  12. We may assign the benefits of this agreement to a third party on notice to you. Your rights under this agreement will not be prejudiced.
  13. This agreement is governed by Irish Law.
  14. If You cancel your membership within 14 day period and have not used the gym we will refund you your money less the cancellation fee of €35.
  15. You have the right to cancel this Agreement within 14 days from the start of the Agreement without giving any reason but you must let us know you wish to do so within the 14 day period. You may contact us at the reception. Or using email. A cancellation form must be filled out to do so. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day you accept these terms. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient if you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Fitness Factory - Gym Rules

  • Members are deemed to have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of membership.
  • Members must use their membership card on each visit to gain access to Fitness Factory.
  • The Membership access and Member usage is monitored at all times to ensure the safety and security of our Members.
  • Membership cards are for the sole use of the member to whom it was issued. It may not be passed on to anyone else. Any misuse of your membership card will result in the immediate termination of your membership.
  • Personal training is only permitted with Fitness Factory personal trainers.
  • For safety reasons, it is essential that the correct attire is worn when exercising i.e. suitable, comfortable exercise clothing and footwear.
  • Appropriate footwear is to be worn at all times on the gym floor. Only appropriate gym footwear is allowed. No stud or blade boots are allowed. Sandals are not deemed appropriate footwear.
  • As a courtesy to other members and for hygiene reasons we strongly suggest a small gym towel should be carried to wipe down equipment after use.
  • All dumbbells and plate discs must be returned to the racks after use.
  • All classes operate on a first come first served basis. Please arrive in good time for a class to avoid disappointment.
  • Class attendance numbers are monitored and classes with low numbers may be removed from the timetable.
  • Members / Guests are solely responsible for their own belongings whilst visiting
  • Fitness Factory Management accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.
  • Members / Guests are only to use the lockers for the duration of their training session.
  • Last showers are 15 minutes before closing time. Members / Guests must vacate the building no later than the official closing time.
  • Only equipment provided by Fitness Factory is allowed to be used on the gym floor.
  • Members must inform Fitness Factory of any change of contact and email address or telephone numbers.
  • Any incident or accident should be reported immediately to the Fitness Factory Staff.
  • The Management reserves the right to amend, change the gym rules at their sole discretion.
  • The Management of each gym reserves the right to terminate or suspend Membership at any time and at its sole discretion.
  • Fitness Factory reserves the right to vary the opening hours, without prior notice, as considered necessary for the proper operation of the gym.

Wet Area Rules (where applicable)

  • Members/Guests are asked to pay particular attention to the signage that defines the wet and dry areas in the locker rooms.
  • Members/Guests must dry off before leaving the shower area.

Fire Evacuation Plan

  • Leave the building by the nearest available exit.
  • DO NOT stop to collect personal belongings.
  • DO NOT return to the building until authorised to do so.
